The Starlings - Letter From Heaven EP

You may have noticed that there hasn't been much updating. I've been busy with that stuff called life which involves kids, wives, football, red wine. I've looked to only put up stuff I can't readily see elsewhere and with so many good blogs around I'll admit I'm struggling to do that. It seems you can get most of the good stuff out there, and the bad!

Which brings me to the starlings, a name by which Chris Starling recorded a few eps and a couple of albums. And wait for it, I've not seen this posted elsewhere, the first EP which has five tracks and is on rather crackly vinyl. It features a rather splendid cover of Wasn't Born To Follow, and there are no fillers here.

Tracks:
  1. Wasn't Born To Follow
  2. Letter From Heaven
  3. Razor Girl
  4. Helloween Candy
  5. My Sympathy

nice post, Chris Sheehan started out in New Zealand in a band called The Exponents many years ago, moved to England with them, left, then formed The Starlings.
Last heard of he was palying with another Kiwi band The Mutton Birds in England around 8 years ago.

Hey, good to have you back. A lot of blogs are disappearing (MaybeHereNow being the most recent) so please post away.

Looking for the new Charlotte Hatherley and Seasick Steve offerings if anyone can help.

BTW, "wives"??? How many do you have?

Bloody Brilliant!!!

Weird - About two weeks ago I was listening to Safe In Heaven Dead EP and as I was quite drunk I ended up buying all the Starlings singles and albums I hadn't got off eBay and Amazon etc - this was the only one I couldn't get hold of so 1000 times thank-you

PS: Bossman - She's Been Talking by the Mutton Birds is a great track as I recall
